The marquee event on the CHPTA calendar is the CHPTA Spring Conference & Annual General Meeting. This event is held in the Spring each year and features a combination of education, information exchange, entertainment and networking opportunities. Keynote speakers and break-out seminar sessions deal with issues solely from a manufacturer/vendor perspective. The Hardware & Housewares Industry Hall of Fame inductions are held in conjunction with the Spring Conference & AGM.
Social Events
Our popular social program provides the opportunity for our members to meet and network with customers and other members in a relaxed social environment. Such events include gala industry evenings combined with the industry trade shows, the annual Industry Cocktail evening in Montreal, Night at the Races, several CHPTA annual golf tournaments and other events.
The CHPTA manages Canada Night held in Chicago during the Housewares Show on behalf of the industry and sponsors. Our involvement ensures that vendors have an opportunity to meet with their customers at a well organized social event.
Maple Leaf Night held during the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas ensures that CHPTA members have the opportunity to socialize with the Canadian customers attending the show.
Events are organized to maximize the turnout of customers and provide a charitable component when possible. Hole sponsorships and auctions at our golf outings consistently result in over $15,000 per year going to a variety of charities.
