A SKILLS TRAINING SERIES FOR THE HOME PRODUCTS AND TRADE INDUSTRY BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE CHPTA

Payment and Cancellations

Due to pre-program preparation, courses are not refundable and subject to 100% of fees. If you cannot attend a course, you may transfer your enrolment to another member of your organization, or apply the fees to a future course. Participants using Membership Module Credits may reapply their credits to a future course if written notice is provided at least five business days in advance. Members will lose the credits if they enroll but fail to attend.

Any cancellation within five business days of the course is subject to a 10% processing fee.

CHPTA reserves the right to cancel or change dates to any of our courses. Occasionally, CHPTA may need to postpone or cancel courses due to lower-than-threshold enrolments or extraordinary circumstances beyond our control such as weather, community safety, course instructors falling ill, etc. If a course is postponed or cancelled due to low enrolment, CHPTA will notify the program participants no less than one week prior to the program start date. If a course is postponed or cancelled due to extraordinary circumstances, CHPTA will inform the participants by the most appropriate means at our earliest opportunity and course participants will be automatically enrolled into the next available program session. If CHPTA cancels a course, participants may choose a tuition credit or refund if they are not able to attend the next available session.

Code of Conduct

It is expected that all participants will interact with one another in a professional and respectful manner. Any unwanted attention, harassment or bullying of participants, staff or faculty members will not be tolerated in any form.

A significant portion of CHPTA training courses involve peer-to-peer learning that happens live during the course. This shared experience and engagement contributes to a richer learning environment. As such, Virtual participants are expected to have their cameras on during Virtual Courses to be more present and engaged with the cohort. Participants will inform staff if they have any issues with this.

Due to the interactive learning format, participants and instructors may share details of their business with one another that are not available to the public. As such, any recording of the course not authorized by CHPTA staff is not permitted.

CHPTA’s Skills Training Program is comprised of various professional development courses to help those in the home products industry advance their careers or grow their businesses. They can be taken by anyone but are ideal for young and up-and-coming managers or new entrepreneurs to the industry who are looking for practical, affordable training. Courses will be taught by professional instructors who have experience working within the Canadian home products industry and can pass on their valuable knowledge.

Thank you for the opportunity to attend the Two-Day Sales Training Course. The course was extremely valuable, providing deep knowledge and hands-on strategies for navigating the industry. Gerry Lubanszky, the course trainer, was outstanding—his expertise and clear communication made the topics in this course much easier to grasp and apply.
